KWI does not use an application portal. The complete application is emailed to international.fellowship@uni-due.de with the subject line "KWI INTERNATIONAL FELLOWSHIPS".
The proposal is capped at 5,000 characters, which is short for a research proposal — write to the limit rather than trimming a longer document to fit.

Eligibility notes
For international researchers in the humanities, cultural studies and social sciences holding a completed PhD with up to six years of post-doctoral experience. German nationals may apply only if currently employed at an institution outside Germany.
